Raids on Tollywood Producers!

AP State Government authorities were raided on the offices of Tollywood’s big producers offices for evading cinematographer’s service tax in the last year. The raids were conducted by Commercial/Services Taxes department. The raids conducted on ), Dil Raju (Sri Venkateswara films),Allu Aravind (Geetha Arts),Bellamkonda Suresh (Sri Sai Ganesh) and Venkat (R R Movie Makers).
As per the reports production houses and distribution firms of these producers had not paid service tax on the movies they made or distributed in the last year. As per the state authorities, 10.3 % percentage of service tax applies for each cinema and these producers are not paid the respectd amount for last one year.
